I followd Chinese Red Braised Pork Belly Recipe - Souped Up Recipes but not all the step as I don’t have all the ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 700 g skin on pork belly
  • 50 g white sugar
  • 3 tbsp chinese cooking wine
  • 3 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp of oyster sauce
  • 600 mL Water
  • Ginger
  • 3 scallions
  • 2 garlic clove

Prepare the pork

  1. Dice up the pork
  2. Boil the pork with slice ginger, scallion and garlic for 25 min. The longer the more tendor.
  3. Drain the water and put the pork aside. You can save the stock for later use if you want.

Glaze

  1. Add oil and sugar to the cooking pot and heat it up on low to medium heat.
  2. When the sugar begins to carmalised add the pork in. Be careful because it might sizzle and pops if the pot temperature is high.
  3. Begin adding the sauce, soy sauce, rice wine and oyster sauce and styr it around.
  4. After done add some water, styr it around and put the lid on it and let it simmer for 10 or more minutes until the sauce begin to thickens.
