Garlic Parsley Sauce
A bright and zesty sauce perfect for grilled meats, roasted vegetables, or as a dressing.
Ingredients
Base Ingredients
- Fresh garlic (1–2 cloves)
- Fresh parsley (1 bunch)
- Lemon zest (from 1 lemon)
- Lemon juice (from 1 lemon)
- Red wine vinegar (1–2 tablespoons)
- Fresh chili (1–2, depending on heat preference)
- Salt (to taste)
Optional (For Traditional Chimichurri Style)
- Olive oil (3–4 tablespoons)
- Dried oregano (1 teaspoon)
Method
- Prepare the Ingredients
- Mince the garlic finely.
- Chop the parsley into small pieces.
- Zest and juice the lemon.
- Finely chop the chili, adjusting the amount to your spice tolerance.
- Mix the Base
- In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, parsley, lemon zest, and chili.
- Add the red wine vinegar and lemon juice.
- Stir to combine and season with salt to taste.
- Adjust for Chimichurri
- If making a more traditional chimichurri, mix in olive oil and oregano.
- Serve
- Use immediately as a sauce or let it rest for 15–30 minutes to allow flavors to meld. Ideal with grilled meats or as a fresh topping.
